A Christmas Carbon Neutral Dance 2011

A christmas celebration and dance for the planet! This year's Christmas Carbon Neutral Dance will take place on the 16th December 2011, at our office in London, Worldview Space.

Please join us for some food and drink, whilst we listen to the great Milli Moonstone and Ashish Paul.

We will have some food kindly donated from Pret a Manger and other christmassy nibbles. We will also provide some drinks, good company and good music.

The ticket for this event will be only £10 at the door which will go to the Paradise Farm Project, in Sri Lanka which promotes sustainable organic agriculture and community development.

The money will go towards maintaining an organically grown rubber tree for 35 years, with environmental, social and economic benefits in mitigating climate change, and also creating sustainable livelihoods for poor local communities. Green tea direct from the project will also be handed out to guests.

Carbon Neutral Dance at Worldview Space!

Worldview impact are organising another Carbon Neutral Dance to be held at our office, Worldview Space on the 25th November 2011 at 7pm.

In a more intimate setting, we offer a glass of wine an opportunity to mingle and talk whilst we hear music from the amazing Roberta De Francia !



Originally from Italy Roberta has played with different musical projects that range from acoustic/folk to jazz and she has been performing across England and Italy. Roberta's original songs are centered on her gentle voice, her melodic guitar, meaningful lyrics and interesting harmonic "texture" over a fresh rhythmic approach.

We will also have a special performance from a young inspiring dancer, Marianna Danilova, who may even give us a quick dance lesson, as well as some music from Ashish Paul. There will also be a quick presentation from Bremley Lyngdoh, the CEO and Founder of Worldview Impact about Paradise Farm and ongoing projects in India.

After the perfomances, we will continue the evening at a great bar nearby only a few minutes away from our office, situated on Tower Bridge!


Tickets are only £10 and will go towards reforestation, the Paradise Farm Project in Sri Lanka.

The money will go towards maintaining an organically grown rubber tree for 35 years, with environmental, social and economic benefits in mitigating climate change, and also creating sustainable livelihoods for poor local communities. Green tea direct from the project will also be handed out to guests.

The 15th Carbon Neutral Dance in London!

Another fantastic Carbon Neutral Dance will take place in London on Thursday 6th October 7.30-11pm at Cuban Restaurant & Bar, Camden. It promises to be a jammed packed fun night full of dance and live music!

There will be Third Sector Edge Award winning short film project made by students at Shooters Hill School about the Carbon Neutral Dance and a short film about our Paradise Farm Project. This will be followed by a great unplugged performance from our Carbon Neutral Artist, Milli Moonstone as well as live latin music from Mariano Ortiz from 'Latinos in London'. We will also have a special perfomance from Viktoriya Wilson from 'Inspiration 2 Dance'.

This event is even more special as it celebrates the UN International Year of Forests 2011. Forests are home to up to 300 million people around the world and support the livlihoods of over 1.6 billion. UN-Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon noted that 'Forests are vital to our wellbeing. They habour 80% of land based biodiversity, and store more than 1 trillion tonnes of carbon'.

Tango for Trees with Sahara!

Carbon Neutral Dance Goes Global!

This 8th Carbon Neutral Dance held in London is the start of our Carbon Neutral Dance Global movement that will see Carbon Neutral Dances taking place other major cities like New York, Sao Paulo, Paris and ending this year in Copenhagen for the United Nations Climate Change Conference in December 2009.

By uniting the global community and dancing for the planet in all these cities, we hope to mitigate climate change, reduce poverty and improve living conditions in the developing world. So dance for our planet and our people!

6th Carbon Neutral Dance to celebrate World Environment Day 2009!

Your Planet Needs You - So come dance for your planet as we celebrate World Environment Day on Friday 5th June 2009 and raise funds for our pilot projects in Africa, Asia and South America.

We will start with a short presentation about World Environment Day (WED) and its history at Worldview Space (http://www.worldviewspace.com) located on the 3rd floor, 1 Pope Street, London SE1 3PR at 7.00pm so you can learn about what we are doing over some drinks and light refreshments. Then we will move on to the dance floor at the Cubana near Waterloo Station at 9.00pm for some Latin Beats till 1.00am.

World Environment Day (WED) was established by the UN General Assembly in 1972 to mark the opening of the Stockholm Conference on the Human Environment. Commemorated yearly on 5 June, WED is one of the principal vehicles through which the United Nations stimulates worldwide awareness of the environment and enhances political attention and action. The day's agenda is to:

1. Give a human face to environmental issues;
2. Empower people to become active agents of sustainable and equitable development;
3. Promote an understanding that communities are pivotal to changing attitudes towards environmental issues;
4. Advocate partnership which will ensure all nations and peoples enjoy a safer and more prosperous future.

The theme for WED 2009 is 'Your Planet Needs You-UNite to Combat Climate Change'. It reflects the urgency for nations to agree on a new deal at the crucial climate convention meeting in Copenhagen some 180 days later in the year, and the links with overcoming poverty and improved management of forests.

This year’s host is Mexico which reflects the growing role of the Latin American country in the fight against climate change, including its growing participation in the carbon markets.

Mexico is also a leading partner in UNEP's Billion Tree Campaign. The country, with the support of its President and people, has spearheaded the pledging and planting of some 25 per cent of the trees under the campaign. Accounting for around 1.5 per cent of global greenhouse gas emissions, the country is demonstrating its commitment to climate change on several fronts.

Mexican President Felipe Calderon states that the WED celebration will “further underline Mexico's determination to manage natural resources and deal with the most demanding challenge of the 21st century – climate change.

5th Carbon Neutral Dance for projects in India!

Live Performance!

By the London based stylish singer, songwriter and actress Karen david. She is making her name in the US and Canada with the phenomenal success of the movie "Scorpion King : Rise of A Warrior," but she's also working hard to complete her debut album. Karen was born in Shillong, Meghalaya, in the North East Indian foothills of the Himalayas, but she moved with her parents to Toronto as a child and grew up in Canada. After a stint at Berklee College of Music in Boston, she came to study acting in England. Spotted by Benny and Bjorg, she was soon on the West End stage in the original cast of Mamma Mia.



We want the concept of the CND to grow globally in other major cities across the planet so we will try to host some future CNDs in New York, Paris, Geneva, Rome, Berlin, Vienna, Mexico City, Rio, Delhi, Colombo, Accra, Nairobi, Bangkok, Bogota, Cape Town so that our CND members in other parts of the world can also participate and dance for the future of our planet!

1st Sustainable Salsa Summer Party for Sri Lanka!

There is only one long term solution to Climate Change: we, who consume more than our equal share of the world's non-renewable resources, must reduce our consumption and production patterns and have simpler, healthier and more sustainable lifestyles. We believe that by creating sustainable livelihoods for the poor, it reduces poverty and improves living conditions in the developing world.

We want to create an environment where local people can actively participate in an array of climate change mitigation and adaptation projects.

These include carbon off-setting through planting rubber trees and other relevant activities, complimented by renewable energy technologies to support organic agriculture, fisheries, water harvesting and forestry on a sustainable level.


Our solution is simple: We plant trees. There are vast unused areas of land in many developing countries, which is ideally suitable for tree planting to mitigate climate gases, while providing increased income to the poorest section of the population.

Experts have concluded that in particular environments, the most effective plants in mitigating green house gases are rubber trees. They will provide sustainable livelihood to thousands of people, as well as effective environmental improvement.


By providing 50 pence a day to the project, you will in 300 days (or faster if you pay more) cover the cost of planting 10 rubber trees with follow up activities to secure maturity of the trees. This mitigation of 10 ton C02E of green house gases, equivalent to one year's carbon footprint of an average American or European citizen.

Come join us at our first Sustainable Summer Salsa Party this year by reducing your carbon footprints by taking small footsteps on the dance floor.
